Check out 29 Latest Game Cards from Magic: The Gathering's TMNT Set (Featuring a Commander-Style Precon Deck!)

Everyone's favorite pizza-loving superheroes are making their way to Magic: The Gathering. The popular trading card game's publisher, the game's creators, unveiled a highly anticipated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration at a special event held at NYCC. Could this be a exciting addition or simply another crossover marketing move? We'll let you be the judge.

Check out below at everything announced from the Magic x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration, including some useful background. All items listed here launches on March 6th, 2026, with one exception — a special Pizza Bundle drops a couple of weeks after on March 27.

Magic x TMNT: Main Set Reveals

Before diving into all the various special decks and collections on offer, let’s take a look at the full lineup from the main Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles expansion that were revealed by Wizards. Play boosters for the set are set at $6.99 each, while premium boosters should run $37.99 per pack.

Let’s explore a few shell-shocking details. First, a new gameplay mechanic named Sneak Attack, which is a riff on the already established Ninjutsu ability, where gamers can play powerful creatures onto the battlefield when an attacker goes unblocked. The big difference in this case is that this new ability can apply to spells that aren’t creatures too. Wizards also took the opportunity to refine the ability a bit (Sneak is treated as playing a spell, as opposed to Ninjutsu). The original ability is staying, but it's more likely we'll see Sneak in upcoming expansions from now on.

“If we ever go back to Kamigawa, it’s possible we’d use Ninjutsu since that's where it was developed and it is iconic to that,” an experienced designer explained. “However on other planes, because the mechanics are smoother and Sneak will be Standard-legal, it’s probable that we'd use the updated version.”

That second variant of the leader Turtle, Sewer Samurai, is among four cards with special art created specifically for the set by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator Kevin Eastman.

Additionally, if you're shocked by the rules text on Turtles Forever card, which allows playing cards outside of your deck, so was I. Yet according to the developers, that's now a legal card in all formats of Magic.

In any case, here are the extremely bizarre land cards with full art from this set:

As per Wizards of the Coast's existing guidelines, all these cards are fully legal in Magic’s Standard format. The designers say they took care to ensure the new cards and mechanics meshed well with other Standard sets such as Edge of Eternities.

“I led the design for over a year and we were aware it was going to be in standard and which sets would be near it in Standard,” a lead designer says. “Our goal was to ensure that they work well with certain expansions like Edge of Eternities.”

As an instance, each of TMNT and Edge of Eternities feature a Izzet strategy built around artifact cards.

“They mesh together to provide the pieces for a enjoyable Standard deck,” the designer added.

Commander Deck: Turtle Power!

After declining to create any Commander precons for the Spider-Man set and the upcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender collaborations, Wizards is changing direction with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This time it’s just one precon, but it does come with six distinct legendary cards who could work as your Commander depending on how you combine them (five cards include a unique partner ability called “Character Select” that lets you start with two of them in the command zone instead of just one). Take a look for yourself:

The Turtle Power deck is set at $69.99, although the price may rise based on popularity. Sources told that it contains 43 new cards altogether, which translates to an additional 37 TMNT-themed game cards in addition to the six legendary creatures shown earlier. (Doing some rough math, that also means approximately 20 reprints if we assume the precon comes with 37 lands.)

What will the Turtles version of the iconic Sol Ring look like? Fans must wait and see.

Standard Bundle (Standard Edition)

As per usual, Wizards is selling a bundle. This one is priced at $69.99 and includes the listed items:

  • 9 Play Boosters
  • 15 Traditional foil basic lands
  • 15 Non-foil land cards
  • 2 helper cards
  • One Traditional foil promotional card
  • 1 Large life tracker
  • 1 storage box

Pizza Bundle

This is a unique concept for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration, mostly in that it is packaged in a box resembling a pizza delivery box. Each Pizza Bundle costs $99.99 and comes with the items below:

  • 9 Play Boosters
  • 1 Premium Booster
  • Twenty-five Non-foil pizza-themed lands
  • 5 Foil pizza basic lands
  • Two Foil Pizza Bundle promotional cards
  • Two Reference cards
  • One Large life tracker
  • One Card-storage box

For those curious what a “pizza bundle promo” is, it’s essentially a reprinted older card featuring all-new Turtle-themed art. Wizards showed one for the well-known Magic card Dark Ritual depicting Splinter sprinkling toppings on a pizza. In total, there are six distinct Pizza Bundle promo cards in total.

This special bundle releases a couple of weeks later than the core set on March 27, 2026.

Draft Night

This unique product is made for a four-player draft and is priced at $119.99. That will get you:

  • 12 Play Boosters (ideal for four people to play draft)
  • 1 Premium Booster (also known as, the prize for coming in first)
  • 90 Regular basic lands (to build your deck)
  • 10 Non-foil double-sided tokens
  • 1 Draft insert (a single-page guide to drafting this expansion)

Cooperative Play Set

Finally, the developers are introducing a new concept with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as in line with its continued initiative to create Magic products specifically for new players. In this case, the cooperative set is a special set of decks that allow two players team up to face a “Boss” enemy deck that plays automatically.

The general idea is that every Boss card gives special abilities to the creatures included in the boss deck. Each Boss automatically plays one other card each turn, and players begin fighting {one Boss|
